uMngeni-uThukela Water, a state-owned entity, is one of Africa’s most successful organisations involved in water management and is the largest supplier of bulk potable water in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The organisation was established in 1974, to provide water services – water supply and sanitation services – to other water services institutions in its service area.

uMngeni-uThukela Water invites graduates to apply for Internships in 2025. uMngeni-uThukela Water is offering an exciting 36-month Graduate Development Programme aimed at empowering unemployed youth under the age of 35 in KwaZulu-Natal. The programme is open to graduates, including persons with disabilities, who seek practical work experience in technical and scientific fields across Richards Bay and Pietermaritzburg.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A relevant degree from a CHE-accredited tertiary institution
  • Unemployed South African youth (under 35 years)
  • Residing in KwaZulu-Natal (preference for residents within uMngeni-uThukela Water’s operational municipalities)
  • Must not have participated in any other Internship or Graduate Programme
  • Applicants with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
