Purpose of the Job:

  • Overall responsibility for the R&D Test Engineer is to maintain the efficient operation of the RGU Application Centre and team, expansion of product and geotechnical knowledge within the company, development of testing methods for various products, analysis and interpretation of technical test data, generation of technical reports and academic papers.
  • Maintain the company vision of technical excellence within the rock reinforcement industry. Ensure that customers receive accurate technical product information in the shortest possible timeframe.
  • Collaboration with our Product development, Sales and Marketing teams to provide technical data differentiating our products and service offering through continuous innovation.

Qualification Requirements

  • Min B.Sc. Electro-Mechanical / Mechatronics/ Mechanical

Knowledge & Experience

  • 2D and 3D CAD modelling experience essential
  • Basic knowledge of coding, ideally LabVIEW/ VBA for Excel
  • Familiar with research methodologies and processing of quantitative data
  • Analysis of Material Properties
  • Technical report generation
  • Project management of testing programs

Responsibilities

  • Technical reading and writing in English – Fluent
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and other computer packages
  • Ability to use Mechanical CAD systems
  • Administration of heavy laboratory test equipment, sample preparation and test execution.
  • Test procedures and Scheduling tests
  • Specimen Drawings, generating Bill of Materials for tests
  • Design of new tests
  • Analysis of test results and compilation of Reports
  • Generation of product drawings and specifications
  • Review of document updates
  • Mechanical product design and testing as required
  • Other reasonable responsibilities and duties requested by Manager and Executives
