Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) invites graduates to apply for Internships for 2025. The internship is offered within CSIR’s Chemicals Cluster and aims to provide practical work experience to graduates in Chemistry, specifically within the field of biorefinery research and industrial application. Interns will work under the supervision of CSIR researchers and engineers, contributing to innovative projects and technology development.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret experimental data
- Prepare chemical reagents and conduct routine chemistry experiments
- Plan and execute experiments
- Assist with laboratory inventory and management
- Contribute to the development of SOPs
- Compile technical reports and project documentation
- Maintain lab custodianship and safety standards
- Show initiative in learning biorefinery and industrial chemistry techniques
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma in Chemistry
- Hands-on laboratory experience and familiarity with equipment
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical, results-driven, and team-oriented
- Willing to learn and work under pressure
- SAQA evaluation is required for foreign qualifications
