Airports Company South Africa was formed in 1993 as a public company and, although majority owned by the South African Government, is legally and financially autonomous and operates under commercial law.

Airports Company South Africa (ACSA): Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeships 2025

The Apprenticeship Programme will run for a 3-year period, equipping candidates with the knowledge, skills, and technical competencies required to pursue artisan careers in:

  • Millwright
  • Electrician
  • Fitter

Each apprentice will be mentored and trained under accredited SETA guidelines, spending:

  • 70% on practical training in airport departments
  • 30% on theoretical training with a certified training provider

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • South African citizens
  • Unemployed
  • Aged between 18 and 34 years
  • National Technical Diploma (N6) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
  • Physically fit
  • No criminal record
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
