The Commission for Gender Equality is one of the institutions established in terms of Chapter 9 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa (1996). In terms of section 187 of the Constitution, the mandate of the CGE is to contribute the strengthening and deepening constitutional democracy in South Africa through the promotion, protection, development, and attainment of gender equality.

Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) invites graduates to apply for Internships in 2025.

Available Internship Opportunities

1. Communications Internship (24 Months)

  • Stipend: R6 500.00 per month
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Journalism or Communications
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Editing proficiency and computer literacy (MS Office)
    • South African citizen aged between 18 – 35 years
    • Must reside in Gauteng
    • Must not have been previously employed

2. Information Communications Technology (ICT) Internship (24 Months)

  • Stipend: R6 500.00 per month
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems
    • South African citizen aged between 18 – 35 years
    • Must reside in Gauteng
    • Must not have been previously employed

3. Supply Chain Management Internship (24 Months)

  • Stipend: R7 500.00 per month
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Logistics
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
    • South African citizen aged between 18 – 35 years
    • Must reside in Gauteng
    • Must not have been previously employed
