Sekhukhune TVET College invites graduates to apply for Engineering Apprenticeships at Sekhukhune TVET College, Limpopo, South Africa. Sekhukhune TVET College, in partnership with the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority (merSETA), invites applications from local unemployed youth for its 2025 Engineering Apprenticeship Programme. This initiative aims to empower qualifying youth through practical training in trades critical to the mechanical and engineering sectors.
The programme targets those who meet the minimum academic requirements and are passionate about pursuing a career in engineering trades such as Diesel Mechanic, Fitter and Turner, and Boilermaker.

Minimum Requirements
Diesel Mechanic
- Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics (Technical subjects an advantage)
- NCV L2–L4 in Automotive Repair and Maintenance (21 subjects completed)
- N2–N6 Mechanical Engineering with N2 Diesel/Motor Trade Theory
Fitter and Turner
- Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics (Technical subjects an advantage)
- NCV L2–L4 in Fitting and Turning (21 subjects completed)
- N2–N6 Mechanical Engineering with N2 Fitting Trade Theory
Boilermaker
- Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics (Technical subjects an advantage)
- NCV L2–L4 in Fabrication (21 subjects completed)
- N2–N6 Mechanical Engineering
Important Notes
- Applicants must be under 35 years of age.
- Preference will be given to candidates who studied at Sekhukhune TVET College.
- Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee selection; all applications will be subject to assessment.
- Successful candidates will sign an ETQA agreement and an employment contract as part of the apprenticeship.
