Northern Cape Department of Health invites graduates to apply for Pharmacy Internships at Kimberley, Upington, De Aar, Colesberg – Northern Cape, South Africa.
Minimum Requirements
- A Degree in Pharmacy accredited by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Registration with the SAPC as a Pharmacist Intern (must be completed before assumption of duty)
- Computer literacy
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of pharmacy-related legislation and national/provincial health policies
- Ability to maintain accuracy and professionalism under pressure
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
- Provide effective pharmaceutical care including evaluating prescriptions, dispensing medication, and advising on patient compliance
- Ensure proper procurement, storage, control, and distribution of pharmaceuticals
- Adhere to quality standards, occupational health and safety procedures, and Good Pharmacy Practices (GPP)
- Participate in staff training, education, and public health promotion
- Apply sound expenditure control in compliance with health policies
