Bell Equipment is calling on suitably qualified candidates to apply for its 2025 Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprenticeship based in Cape Town. Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following academic criteria:
Academic Qualifications
- Grade 12 with:
- Mathematics (Core)
- Physical Science
- Engineering Graphics & Design (EGD)
- Mechanical Technology
OR
- N2 Certificate with four subjects:
- Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Diesel or Motor Trade Theory
- Engineering Drawing / Industrial Electronics
OR
- National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 (NCV L4) in Engineering Related Design (Automotive)
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a technical assessment (including numeracy & literacy)
- Must be in good physical health (medical examination required)
- Must hold a valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence
- Must reside within a 50 km radius of the Bell Customer Service Centre in Cape Town

- Previous working experience in the engineering industry
- Successfully completed basic hand skills training
