What will you do?

  • As a Document Developer you will be responsible for the analysis, development, authoring and maintenance of Sanlam letters and forms using mainly Exstream and MTEXT languages.

What will make you successful in this role?

  • Completion of impact analysis of the proposed system changes
  • Assist in model design and data structures to document service developers
  • Analysis and interpretation of business specifications received
  • Technical design and development of documents according to rules and standards
  • Complete unit testing to validate logic and correctness
  • Implement correct documents into the relevant environments as part of the release management process
  • Technical support / assistance to others on any issues related to document management domain
  • QA and review of developer specifications, developed documents and provide feedback
  • Maintenance and support of any errors in production
  • Perform standby
  • Increase Performance and Capability within Document Development Services domain through effective knowledge transfer (Coaching) of others in IT Delivery
  • Provide trusted advice about the implementation / adoption of the Document Development Services domain based on continuous research on technology trends and best practices

Qualification

  • Matric
  • Relevant IT Diploma or Computer Science degree would be recommended

Experience

  • 5 to 8 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in financial services will be an advantage
  • Experience in SOAP UI, GIT, XSD, XML, XL Release, XL Deploy and JIRA
  • Experience in Extream or MTEXT environment will be an advantage

Knowledge

  • Sound understanding of the Document Development Process in the context of the Sanlam SDLC
  • Sound understanding of the Software Development process and methodology in the IT Organisation
  • Detail knowledge of Eloquence/Exstream and MTEXT will be an advantage
  • Agile methodology
