The Department of Sports and Recreation has a Part-time eSport coach position available at the eMalahleni Campus for a period of 4 months (01 September 2025- 30 December 2025).
Key performance areas/Core functions:
- Prepare athletes for USSA tournament and other tournaments.
- Facilitate recruitment of athletes and informational training sessions.
- Organise Tournaments and monitor equipment usage
- Innovate and create awareness of the report
- Organize internal league and Community Outreach program
Requirements
- Safeguarding certification/First Aid qualification 1 or 2
- Professional driving permits will be advantageous
- Experience
- USSA /Varsity experience.
- Local and international
Knowledge and Skills
- In-depth game knowledge: Strong understanding of the game mechanics, strategies
- Communication skills: Effective communication with players, team and stakeholders.
- Strategic planning: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies
- Passion for gaming: Strong passion for the game and eSports industry
